Located in the southernmost section of Kentucky, Cumberland Falls is the mother of southern waterfalls. Nearby is the Big South Fork National Recreation area is shared with bordering Tennessee. BSF is similar to Red River Gorge in landscape and geology except 3 times the size and the mountains are twice as high.
