Dog Slaughter Falls Dog Slaughter Creek Daniel Boone National Forest Kentucky Having been here so many times now since I first found out about this falls a few years ago, I really needed to look for some new perspectives to shoot Dog Slaughter from, this one being definitely different. I had to wedge myself between a couple rocks which were a bit slippery, even with anti-slip boots on. The falls if definitely one of the most beautiful in the state, it's define flow lines make it unique from the others as well. Water levels permitting, the next time I post a shot from here, it will be from the other side of the creek.
Eagle Falls Eagle Creek Cumberland Falls State Park Kentucky Although Cumberland Falls is a real beauty of a falls to see the much smaller Eagle Falls is well worth the very moderate 0.8 mile hike downstream. Sporting views of the Cumberland Gorge as well as the Cumberland Falls the trail has a several hundred foot up and down elevation change. When we got to this falls it was loaded with young adults lining both sides of the falls, a little odd to me, usually I have 2 or 3 people who won't get out of the shot in this case it was 25. So I ended up just sitting down with my friend Joey and soaking in this 35 foot falls. In hindsight I should have shot the falls with all the folks sitting around it, it probably would have made for an interesting composition.
