Un-named Falls Mill Creek New River Gorge National River Ansted, West Virginia When it comes to photographing creeks, in my opinion, Mill Creek offers some of the best opportunities in the New River Gorge for beautiful scenes. With numerous perspectives of little cascades, creekscapes and a major waterfall, before you know it several hours can slip by without one even realizing it. This little scene was one of my favorites from my shoot here as leaves and foam swirl to create a canvas of Fall beauty.
Mill Creek Falls Mill Creek New River Gorge National River West Virginia A little lower flow than I'm used to but that's OK, the Mill Creek Falls near Hawks Nest State Park in WV was still a gorgeous sight on this Autumn visit as leaves danced around in the splash pool.
Sandstone Falls New River New River Gorge National River West Virginia When I first converted this image of Sandstone Falls in West Virginia's New River Gorge to b&w at the suggestion of a good friend I immediately fell in love with the image. If I could ever imagine what the surface of Saturn's largest moon Titan, a body with a nitrogen rich smog atmosphere and hydrocarbon rivers, this is what I think it would look like.
