Meadow Fork 1st & 2nd Falls New River Gorge National River West Virginia Some of my favorite shots of my trip in late spring 2016 to West Virginia's New River Gorge were at Meadow Fork, a small tributary downstream from the more popular Waterfall On Dunloup Creek. An evening and night of heavy rain really had the creek going and due to it's close proximity to hour motel we couldn't resist making it our first stop of this getaway day. I know I'll definitely return given the right conditions since I left several comps for the future.
Un-named Falls Mill Creek New River Gorge National River Ansted, West Virginia One of my favorite places to shoot on the Mill Creek in West Virginia's New River Gorge is this small waterfall upstream from the bigger falls. There's always some time of swirl action going on and in Autumn there's always some color across the creek, but do you know what really makes this creek so cool? It has unlimited photographic opportunities, so many cascades and small falls, and beautiful upstream scenes, one could loose themselves here for days and sometime in future I plan on doing that.
Un-named Falls Mill Creek New River Gorge National River Ansted, West Virginia When it comes to photographing creeks, in my opinion, Mill Creek offers some of the best opportunities in the New River Gorge for beautiful scenes. With numerous perspectives of little cascades, creekscapes and a major waterfall, before you know it several hours can slip by without one even realizing it. This little scene was one of my favorites from my shoot here as leaves and foam swirl to create a canvas of Fall beauty.
